25. Banksy

It’s funny because, when ever you do research one someone, you have to look at many different websites to find information that confirms, another websites words. When I stumbled across Robert Bansky, his story was interesting and worth exploring to find out if is true.

Bansky who started off "tagging" what graffiti-writers call their work, Bansky wasn't as good as many artist were. He was simply to slow; he wanted to put all his effort and every detail of his work. However, Bansky always had the fear of getting caught for taking to long. Bansky started creating stencils to speed up the process. Some of his first stencils were the local London police, children, rats and monkeys.

Eventually his work started to cause a lot of attention which led to him getting media attention and the main stream art world started taking notice. In 2000 Bansky had his first conventional exhibition, which was a little unorthodox. Bansky wanted his viewers to search for his work so he only gave the street number for the building but not the street.

Even when Bansky started to become really popular and receive offers for exhibitions, he would handle business through a third person, in the fear or beginning revealed.

Bansky is a  England-based graffiti artist, painter, film director and political activist. He started his career underground graffiti artist in Britsol, England.
