5. Justin BUA

Justin BUA is best known for his best-selling collection of fine art posters, in which The DJ is one of the most popular prints.  BUA was born in New York in 1968. Similar to Frank Morrison, BUA was about the street life as a "B" boy, dancing, graffiti and preforming in the streets. He attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, earning his B.F.A. He then went on to teach figure drawing at the University of Southern California.

BUA started off in the commercial world designing and doing illustrating projects. Creating opening sequences for MTV, EA Sports video games NBA Street and NFL Street and the world of Slum Village's award winning music video "Tainted". Later he created Urbania, a animated series, which was picked up by Comedy Central.BUA went on to creating books, The Beat of Urban Art and The Legends of Hip Hop which critics say this is were his style was developed as Urban Realism.

One of the qualities I like about his work, is the expressions of his figures faces. They always seem to chill, as if hes painting them in their element. Its adds to the fact that creates his work from real life experiences and it real, not someone painting with no passion.
